What’s your role here at Return Path?
I provide technical expertise to our prospects, clients, and sales team. I also help coach the sales team and work with them to analyze client’s email challenges in order to present them with Return Path Solutions that best fit their needs. I come into the sales cycle to assist with technical questions around deliverability and provide more in-depth knowledge about the Return Path platform.  

What initially brought you here?
Prior to Return Path, I worked in mobile technology. I was looking for a new challenge, and email seemed to be a good next step to springboard off my knowledge working with mobile marketing campaigns. Return Path was the type of company I was looking to join.

Tell me something I don’t know about email marketing.
Even the most sophisticated marketer and largest brands can face challenges in their email programs. Any marketer who sends email can benefit from the visibility and level of knowledge Return Path’s solutions and team provides. At the end of the day, you don’t know what you don’t know. Return Path provides that insight through our outstanding data.

What energizes you about your role at Return Path?
I love that I get to work with a great sales team who is energetic and hustles every day. It’s exciting working with them and seeing all of them develop their skills and be successful. I love being a part of their growth and seeing their hard work pay off.

What problem is the most fun to solve?
I enjoy the challenge of looking through data and technical problems clients come to us with. It’s eye opening to a client when we can view their data, build a story using that data, and begin to tell them where we feel they are having challenges—and what the root cause of some of those areas of stickiness may be. Putting together a solution that addresses their needs and really works to solve their pain is exciting.

What about you might come as a surprise to those that work closely with you?
I have a degree in Political Science and a second degree in Theatre Arts. I worked Presidential and Congressional campaigns through three election cycles.

What’s the most memorable email campaign you’ve seen lately?
Southwest Airlines has great emails. Their content is colorful and creative, yet to the point. They also use the best practice of sending emails that are personalized to me and relevant for me, at a cadence that works for me (not too many, too often). They have a nice preference center in place and seem to apply these preferences to their individual subscribers.

What emails can we find in your personal inbox?
You’ll find emails from OrangeTheory Fitness, craft beer festivals in CO, Red Rocks upcoming concert reminders, and info on upcoming races—I’m a runner!

What’s your favorite thing about working at Return Path?
The people and the culture. I have gotten to experience several different teams and positions at Return Path. The ability to move around gaining experience and sharpening skills is so valuable. My current Sales Enablement team is fabulous and I enjoy coming to work every day to collaborate with them.
