After a busy few weeks, I’m delighted to be back in the US again for Dreamforce 2019, amidst industry trailblazers from around the globe. Proceedings are set to start in style on Tuesday morning with the #DF19 Kickoff Run. For anyone unfamiliar with this, it sees participants set off from the North end of San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Bridge, crossing the bridge then running along the waterfront to the Ferry Building. As well as taking part myself (I’ll endeavor to set a good pace!), Validity is also a proud marquee sponsor of this year’s run.
I happened upon the run at last year’s event, when I attended Dreamforce for the first time – when Validity was in its infancy as a company – and met Dustin from P2P Consulting who organized the run. Fast forward 12 months and it was great to be invited to attend and sponsor the event. It’s a great opportunity to meet with fellow #DF19 delegates and I’d encourage anyone who doesn’t mind an early morning start with a pair of running shoes to give it a go! All signs point to a three-fold increase on last year’s participant numbers, so it looks set to be a lively start to the week. Validity will also be hosting a Happy Hour for those deserving runners (and spectators!) in the evening at The Press Club – everyone is welcome, please register here if you would like to attend! As for the rest of the week, I’m looking forward to meeting a host of Validity customers, partners and prospects from all around the world, including Australia and Latin America, hearing different perspectives and discussing our objectives for the year ahead. Also on my #DF19 agenda are a number of sessions, including at least one from the inspiring Salesforce Supermums, of which Validity is proud sponsor, and Gemma Emmett’s, Founder of Ladies Be Architects. (Gemma is not only UK Salesforce community royalty, of course, but she is also a firm friend of Validity.)
With so much ground to cover – from new and incoming regulatory changes impacting the industry globally, to the ongoing discussion around privacy and the challenges and risks surrounding poor data quality – it’s great to be here, in the company of the Salesforce community once again.
