New York (November 14, 2007) – Return Path, Inc., the leading email performance management company, today is announcing the launch of the first ever email rendering solution for mobile devices. Marketers can now use Return Path’s Sender Score Campaign Preview service to see exactly what their email campaigns will look like on Windows Mobile 5 and 6 and Blackberry devices.

Delivering emails to mobile devices has created new problems and challenges for marketers. With so many devices, email systems, and screen sizes, emails can easily appear with odd formatting and appearance (e.g., HTML tags showing up in the email, or key content appearing after the “Click For More” button in the email). With Sender Score Campaign Preview’s new mobile email rendering, marketers can easily check the visual layout of their emails before they deploy their campaigns.

“As more and more consumers read their email on mobile devices, marketers need the tools to preview their messages on mobile platforms,” said George Bilbrey, GM of Delivery Assurance, Return Path. “Return Path recognized this growing need and worked hard to build the first-ever technology to render emails across multiple mobile platforms. We’ve launched with rendering for three popular devices, and we’re already hard at work on expanding our rendering capabilities for other mobile platforms.”

With its Sender Score service, Return Path offers a comprehensive set of tools and services to help companies identify and solve deliverability and content problems with their permission email. Sender Score Campaign Preview gives marketers the ability to see exactly what their email will look like in the popular webmail and desktop email readers. If the email’s content or design is causing problems that will make it difficult for subscribers to read it or will lead to delivery issues, marketers can fix the formatting before their campaigns begin.

In addition to adding mobile rendering, Sender Score Campaign Preview has added the capability to view email campaigns, prior to delivery, in 7 email readers from France, Germany and the United Kingdom.

“U.S. marketers continue to expand their email marketing internationally. The expansion of global rendering in Campaign Preview allows them to design changes to their emails so that they are viewable in multiple email readers across multiple countries,” said Ken Takahashi, Vice President, Corporate and International Development, Return Path. “Also, as Return Path’s international business continues to grow, we’re working with marketers around the globe who are looking for the same type of email rendering functionality that we’ve long offered for U.S. marketers.”

The mobile email market is predicted to increase from $6 billion this year to nearly $27 billion in 2011, and more than 40% of consumers indicated that they would be looking for enhanced Internet capabilities on the next phone that they purchased, according to recent research. With the growth in mobile email, marketing emails are increasingly being delivered to mobile devices.

“Until our release today of Campaign Preview’s new features, there was no email rendering application that marketers could use to seamlessly and easily view their emails as they would appear on mobile devices,” said Matt Blumberg, founder, CEO and Chairman, Return Path. “We have always been proud of our history of innovation in the marketplace and this is another great example of that. We identified this critical market need, and devoted the resources to build this rendering solution. It’s just the latest step in Return Path’s offering marketers the best solutions in planning, optimizing, and successfully delivering their email marketing campaigns.”
