Return Path Has Interns! Meet Service Intern Eugene Lee

Today, we say goodbye to our interns.

It’s a bittersweet day, as we are sad to see them go, but we are just as proud of how much they have progressed this summer. In 12 weeks, they’ve transformed into Email superstars and are considered an integral part of each of their teams. Once Monday comes around, we’ll definitely be feeling a little lost without them in the office.

2016 Email Genius Academy Class: We will miss you!

We still need to introduce you to the rest of our intern class, so let’s meet Eugene Lee. He’s a service intern who works at our office in Sydney, Australia!

Tell us a little about yourself? eugene
I am from Sydney Australia, currently studying a double degree of Business and Law at the University of New South Wales. I’m a major sports fanatic (especially rugby, basketball, and snowboarding), and I love traveling and photography/filmmaking. When I’m not working or studying, you’ll find me out and about doing anything that gets my blood pumping.

What made you want to intern at Return Path?
I actually stumbled upon Return Path through an article I read on LinkedIn. It really opened my eyes and made me appreciate just how truly complex and sophisticated the email ecosystem is. As I researched more, I was blown away not only by the solution product suites Return Path offered but also the company values and goals. I was sold, and the moment I saw an opening, I applied straight away!

What are your major projects at Return Path?
The projects I work on vary on a weekly basis. My responsibilities currently include data analytics of client performance, monitoring and maintaining client accounts, identifying and challenging email deliverability issues, and generating monthly reports for client catch-ups and presentations.

What do you enjoy most about being an intern at Return Path?
The opportunity Return Path offers for individuals to develop and grow in all facets is something I’ve appreciated. This is especially evident within the amazing small team we have here in Australia. Everyone is extremely approachable and open, always ready to lend a hand, and will help you learn and grow. My mentor has been fantastic at giving me guidance and the confidence to really embrace my role on the team, providing me with countless opportunities to challenge myself and experience all that Return Path has to offer. Being able to work closely with clients and learn from such an experienced team has been awesome.

When you’re not working, what can you be found doing in Sydney?
Most likely chilling with friends and exploring Sydney trying to capture some cool photos. If not, I’ll be off playing rugby/basketball, cliff jumping, dreaming of traveling, eating my body weight in burgers, or relaxing at home catching up on TV shows and movies.

What is your spirit animal?
My spirit animal would probably be a snow leopard because I love the snow and spending time up in the mountains. I feel I’m also quite instinctive and live quite an adventurous lifestyle, always adopting a calm and laid back approach to life. Plus snow leopards just look incredibly cool.
