This week, the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC), which is a trade association that focuses exclusively on the email industry, released an updated Email Marketing Pledge and Best Practices Guide.
The updated Email Marketing Pledge reflects current regulatory terminology and permission definitions. The Best Practices Guide is designed to be a reference tool of standardized regulations and best practices for email communications. The guide covers permission, disclosure, address collection, content relevancy, unsubscribe practices referrals and more. Both the Pledge and Guide are available at the ESPC website, http://www.espcoalition.org/resources.php.
The ESPC consists of 75 members, including Return Path. This is a group that consists of leaders in the email industry. We are happy to be a part this association as we continue to fight spam and develop solutions to address email deliverability problems.
